Billions of galaxies. Trillions of stars. A universe too old, too vast, too complex. Concluding that life arose only here, on this one planet, isn't skepticism. It's statistical naivety.
There are more stars
in the observable universe
than grains of sand
on every beach on Earth.
Each of those stars
may have planets.
Each planet,
its own conditions.
The universe is too vast.
Too old.
To believe
that life happened only here.
And yet,
most of humanity lives
as if this planet were all that exists.
Not for lack of knowledge.
But for lack of courage
to accept the obvious.
