Chapter 10 — Layers
The calcium in your bones was forged in a star. The iron in your blood was born from its death. The gold you wear came from something the universe rarely produces — the collision of neutron stars. You and everything around you are made of dead-star dust. Not as poetry. As verifiable chemistry.
Not a single atom in your body
was made on Earth.
Each one passed
through stellar furnaces,
explosions,
collisions,
billions of years
crossing the void.
Until it arranged itself
exactly this way.
In this configuration.
At this moment.
In you.
Coincidence
is a comfortable word
for anyone who'd rather
not calculate the scale
of what it took
for you to exist.
