Most people didn't know.
They just repeated.
People close to her.
Society itself.
Almost everyone echoing what they'd heard from someone else.
Many of the religious people she met
followed traditions,
read texts they called sacred —
without questioning what any of it actually meant.
Everyone talked.
But few truly understood.
She wanted to understand the meaning of life.
Of the universe.
And for that, she knew she had to take everything apart.
See the gears.
Find out who — or what — made it all work.
Not out of rebellion.
But for the same reason
that made her take a clock apart at age six:
answers.
Because when you open a clock
and see its gears,
you understand.
There's no more mystery.
No more fear.
Just mechanism.
Cause and effect.
Functional beauty.
